‘The Good Wife’ season 6, episode 19 preview: Alicia, Diane in varying degrees of trouble
Sunday night’s new episode of “The Good Wife” is entitled “Winning Ugly,” and there is a good reason for that. For one, many of our characters have a massive tornado of ugly forming at their door, and as you would assume given that we’re talking about a tornado here, this is not an easy thing to stop. It may keep spinning and spinning until it eventually spins out of control and leaves nothing but damage in its wake.
For Alicia Florrick, much of this damage comes in the form of her own campaign supporters, who may have went about securing her election win in some of the most underhanded of ways. It is one thing to say that defeated a formidable opponent in Frank Prady. However, it is something altogether differently when you realize that the only way in which you did so was because of someone like Guy Redmayne or Bishop messing with voting machines.
Regardless of the guilty party, this brilliant preview reflects Alicia’s pickle. She has to find a way to convince Prady of not demanding a recount, using the argument that such a decision would be an “ugly” choice on his part.

Meanwhile, the issue for Diane is that she may have submitted falsified documents into Cary’s court case, which is made somehow funny by the talking giraffe that one of Wylie’s children brings into the room. With his smile and his love of his kids, Wylie may very well be the happiest grim reaper ever. He rarely ever brings good news, and yet he somehow delivers it in a way that does not make him look like a despicable human. Yet, Diane probably hates him regardless in moments like this one.
