‘Silicon Valley’ season 2 video: Watch the cast talk … ‘Game of Thrones’?

The second season of “Silicon Valley” premieres on HBO this Sunday, and it feels already like the network has a pretty unusual way of promoting it. Specifically, we are talking here about having some select members of the cast in Kumail Nanjiani, Thomas Middleditch, and Zach Woods all discuss moments that come via “Game of Thrones.”

For example, the video below specifically features these three all doing their best to talk a little bit about The Hound, and many of his exploits that took place in Westeros during the fourth season. This is a worthy subject of conversation to us, mostly because we’re going to miss Rory McCann if he truly is dead. Also, there’s a way that these three talk about it that is rather funny, much in the same way that the show itself is.

Of course, we do wish that there was a little more scoop out there about the second season and what to expect when it premieres Sunday night after “Game of Thrones,” but we assume that some of those answers will come after it airs. Also, this expectation may be in a way a little bit of a curse. It is almost better to not know what to expect, at least from the vantage point that it gives you a chance to really dive in completely unaware of what the story will be; ultimately, this allows you a chance to go along for the ride and enjoy almost every second of it. We imagine that Pied Piper will continue to expand and develop after a successful presentation, but these guys still have a ways to go before they are a success.
