ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7, episode 20: Details on Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion in ‘Sleeper’
Let us start this “Castle” article with the bad news: There is no new episode coming on ABC Monday night. Not only that, but there is no episode coming aboard the network the following week, either. The series is going to be stalled until we get to Monday, April 20, when it episode entitled “Sleeper” is going to air on ABC.
If you have studied the promo last week already, you know that this is finally going to be the episode that starts to offer up some further information on the subject of the two-month period in which Castle was separated from the world. Nathan Fillion’s character has submitted as of late to just not thinking about that, which is something that really does not work once you get past a certain period of time. You eventually are going to wait a few more answers, and you may end up getting them in this episode. The short synopsis below may not say much, but it sounds like Fillion and Stana Katic are going to be confronted with some serious material here:
“A mysterious recurring dream drives Castle and Beckett to seek answers about the two-month period when he went missing. But their search for the truth has deadly consequences.”
If the show were to kill off one of its major characters, we would certainly be surprised. While Captain Montgomery was killed off leading to the arrival of Captain Gates, this is not a move that the show chooses to employ very often. We feel like the synopsis is speaking more to the stakes than for realistically killing off a main character. Remember, there is probably a reason why Castle was warned to stay away from happened during that period of time.

What is the delay in Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic signing a new contract for S8? I love this show! The actors, writer;s, directors, everyone involved in making this show are soooo talented!
Realizing it is a lot of hard work for everyone involved, I know you cannot be expected to create a show for a whole year, but it would be nice. Just saying……… Please don’t give up on the show just yet. It is my very favorite and I know there is so much more you can write about. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, sign those contracts so we fans can continue watching your talents and creativity.
