‘The Musketeers’ season 2 finale spoilers: Can Rochefort be stopped?
Tonight, the story of “The Musketeers” is going to be over … at least for now. This means that the Porthos, d’Artagnan and company are going to have their work cut out for them when it comes to one simple goal: Trying to stop Rochefort at all costs. Almost all of France is ultimately at stake, and one of the biggest challenges here is merely going to be that Rochefort has established a sense of trust with most close to him. Suffice it to say, this complicates the situation and them some.
If you have not seen the official synopsis for this installment yet courtesy of the BBC, you can check that out right now below:
“The Musketeers must risk everything to save France from Rochefort’s treacherous plan. While Porthos seeks to lure the Spanish spymaster to Paris to prove Rochefort’s betrayal to the King, Athos and d’Artagnan must save Constance from certain death. However will they be able to protect Aramis and the Queen before Rochefort gets to them first? The fate of France and their closest comrades lies in the Musketeers’ hands.”
The real question to us is how Rochefort has been able to go undetected as evil for so long on this season. After all, he has the most evil sort of eyepatch possible! The show certainly wants you to root against this man, especially given what we saw happen to Lemay tonight. Expect violence, and hopefully a few surprises along the way.
