‘Chicago Fire’ season 3, episode 19 preview: The ‘Chicago Med’ backdoor pilot
The question that we do have at the moment is rather simple: Is there going to be a way in which this show actually stands out? One of the biggest issues we are feeling with the show is simply an issue of trying to figure out how this show can differentiate from “The Night Shift” or “Grey’s Anatomy.” There are already so many hospital shows that are out there, and this is not even the only medical pilot.
As far as we can tell, the network has yet to decide what to do about this backdoor pilot, and ultimately, they may actually wait until the May sweeps to figure things out. They want to see what you as the viewing public ultimately think about this installment.

If they want to distinguish themselves apart from The Night Shift and Greys Anatomy, it’s simple. Don’t focus on having everyone with military backgrounds and don’t focus so much on sexual relationships in between all the doctors and nurses, I.E. Focus on medical drama and some relationships….
