‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5, episode 24 video: Toby and Detective Tanner square off
Toby has a major beef on Tuesday night’s “Pretty Little Liars,” and it has to do with one simple thing: How he perceives himself as being treated by the rest of the staff at the police office.
In the sneak peek below, Keegan Allen’s character complains to Detective Tanner that he really feels almost like he is being punished at the station, as he is being shipped off to do coffee runs while many of the other characters are getting an opportunity to do a number of other, more significant things. This sequence of events is played pretty brilliantly, at least by our estimation, by Tanner. Toby is the one who offers up information, asking if he is being punished after what happened at the gallery. This gave Tanner some more information regarding that night, since Toby obviously feels guilty about something. You better believe that this is some measure of guilt that she will leap on when the time is right.
For now, though, Toby will probably be continued to be relegate to the worst jobs imaginable within the force, and he has to figure out whether or not he is going to be able to tolerate all of this in the long run. If he leaves the force, maybe he can be closer to his friends again! However, at the same time this is a career, and it is pretty darn difficult to walk away from something after you have invested so much time into it.
