‘Outlander’ spoilers: Ronald D. Moore, Sam Heughan offer teases at PaleyFest

PaleyFest chooses to focus on a show a day (at least during the week) when the event is being held, and on Thursday, that show just so happened to be “Outlander” on Starz. It is a fan favorite, and also a program that really managed to emerge to the point of it becoming a giant hit on the network. We are already interested in seeing what the ratings are going to be now that some have had a good eight or so months to catch up.

While at first there was not a whole lot of major scoop dished on the remaining eight episodes of season, mostly because of a drinking game and some other shenanigans, we did eventually get down to brass tacks. Showrunner Ronald D. Moore told the audience at one point that the direction that this series eventually goes in will shock people, or at least those unfamiliar with the source material:

“It does go to some harrowing places. If you haven’t read the book, you’ll be surprised by the direction it takes … [Ultimately, you will have] a satisfying ending. I think it’s an ending worthy of the story and takes you places you weren’t expecting to go.”

For those wondering, Sam Heughan also reminded us that you will get a chance to see Frank again, but he will not be around again this season. Ultimately, let’s just say that you should be prepared to wait until the start of season 2 to jump forward in time again. Hopefully, you are on the patient side.
