‘True Detective’ season 2 spoilers: Vince Vaughn on dramatic roles; plus, possible premiere date hint
So far, finding out real news on “True Detective” season 2 has been almost akin to pulling teeth. HBO has been very protective of their property, but can you really blame them? They know that this is a show everyone is waiting for, and according to Today.com, it will be coming at some point this summer. We’ve speculated late summer / early fall for some time (they have to fill the “Boardwalk Empire” and “True Blood” holes somehow), but it is just nice to get some sort of a sense that we will be watching this show before there is snow across half of the continent again.
The site also included in the story an interview from Vince Vaughn, who explained to Matt Lauer why he is so excited to take on a role of a career criminal who is at the center of the story this time around:
“It’s allowing me to sort of bring a different range and a different set of tools to the table … But as far as the work that goes in, it’s always the same. Take my word. Very seriously, there’s always a big process so that when you get there, it looks like you’re not acting.”
We really want this to work for Vince, mostly because we know that he is a capable performer, but has been at times saddled with either subpar movies, or even at times critics who are ready to jump all over him. We really hope that this is a project that works out for him.

To me Vince Vaughn always looks like he is “not acting” all the time. Not a fan.
