‘Scorpion’ episode 19 preview: Will will Katharine McPhee, cast return?
“Scorpion” has a bit of bizarre pattern going on with its new episodes. You have one new installment, and then you have a week off. This has been going on for at least a few weeks now, and it is going to continue moving into the next episode of the show. Sad? We understand, but CBS has to stretch out this season as long as they can. There are only a handful of weeks left! The network wants this show to last until May.
Luckily, we do at least have a synopsis already for the March 23 installment, which carries with it the title of “Young Hearts Spark Fire.” You can see that below, though it does not necessarily give away a whole lot other than just the basic mission of the week coupled with a rescue:
“While on a mission to save lost hikers, Team Scorpion’s helicopter crashes, igniting a massive wildfire that quickly closes in on them. Also, Sylvester must help their injured pilot who is unable to make it to safer ground.”
If nothing else, what we are perhaps the most excited about at the moment is that the Katharine McPhee series is giving us a reason to be excited about the future now. There were some times very early in the series’ run where we started to genuinely wonder if this show could live up to its potential, but it did! This has become a very fun, action-packed addition to the CBS lineup.
What do you want to see on “Scorpion” when the series returns to CBS? Let us know with a comment!

Do you know how many episodes Scorpion, Madam Secretary, and NCIS: New Orleans have for their respective freshman seasons? There is an episode I saw for Scorpion called “Cliffhanger” (1×21), but I don’t know if it’s the season finale. NCIS: NOLA, it’s scheduling has been just as weird as Scorpion’s, then with the delay of Madam Secretary for awards season, I have weeks of episodes to look forward to. But, since their freshman dramas, does their “full season” pickup include 24 eps like most series have, or is it only 22 episodes? If only 22, why less than others?

I completely agree – Monday nights are the best! The Fosters at 8, Scorpion and Jane the Virgin at 9, and NCIS: LA at 10!!! What could be better?!?!?
