‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: Who else is getting a mask?
Pretty soon, “Arrow” is going to be just one big costume party, isn’t it?
We have wondered for a long time what Thea Queen’s hero training was going to evolve into, and we may now have our very answer to that question: Her becoming a potential hero herself. In the post on Instagram (see below), Willa Holland is getting fit for what is almost certainly her own mask to fight crime at some point in the future. We know this mostly because we saw similar photos of Katie Cassidy back when she was preparing to be Black Canary. You don’t just throw a mask on these people and expect it to work! They have to make it properly fit the actor’s face.
So who could Thea become? We don’t think it takes many guesses to know that Speedy is a candidate. This is a nickname that Oliver has already called her on the show, and this is a known associate of the Green Arrow from the comics. This move certainly makes sense.
Since we’re on the subject of sharing cryptic messages, we may as well also added to this post a tweet from Stephen Amell earlier tonight. We don’t want to send you down the rabbit hole of speculation; this may be a case where the less we say, the better. We’ll leave all of the guessing to you.
New episodes of “Arrow” resume airing on The CW March 18. Given the timing of the mask fitting, you may not see Thea in whatever she is getting fitted for until near the very end of the season.
