‘The Musketeers’ season 2, episode 7 preview: To stop a killer
It is very hard to not be excited about the next new episode of BBC’s “The Musketeers,” at least based on the premise alone. After all, why wouldn’t you want to watch an episode that is about political alliances and a potential murderer in the high court? This is precisely what we find so fun about this show, which really delivers the sort of whimsy and action we would expect from a show like this on Friday night.
Following tonight’s installment, the BBC released the official synopsis for what lies ahead. Take a look at it below:
“The king’s cousin is ambushed while under Musketeer escort as she travels from Mantua to Sweden to make a political marriage that will be advantageous to France. The Musketeers must quickly discover who is targeting her to keep both her and the alliance between countries protected.
“However, it emerges that other important figures at court also appear to be in danger. Who is the killer and could he already be inside the palace walls?”
Hopefully the mystery story is done about as well as we know that it could be, and that includes a variety of surprising twists to it that come up over time. What is somewhat interesting about this synopsis, though, is that there is no real mention of any particular character by name. Typically, we at least get one or two mentions of someone in these sort of writeups.
