‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6, episode 15 review: Caroline’s choice; Damon’s mother; Bonnie’s pain
Tonight’s new episode of “The Vampire Diaries” was entitled “Let Her Go,” and from start to finish this was an hour of TV stuffed full of pain and heartache for the Caroline character. Her mother had died, Stefan waited too long to say the right things, and everyone was telling her exactly what to do.
So what did she try to do? Ultimately, it seems as though she decided to try to take her pain away, and flip off that humanity switch. This was a big decision for her, and that means that this could be a violent side of her character we see in the future. This also means that her and Stefan may not be a couple for at least a little while. He tried to make things better at the end of the episode, but it was too late.
As for some of the other big shockers of this episode, what was with that big reveal of Damon’s mother? Let’s just say that we are going to have so much more of the Salvatore family history coming up than we have before. This revelation came just after another big one: Bonnie’s back! If you did not tear up ever so slightly when you saw this, we may very well question your sanity. These two really had a nice, deserving moment that has been well over six months in the making.
“Let Her Go” was a tear-jerker, but it was also more than that. This episode effectively set the stage for the remainder of the season. Grade: B+.

Seriously you write it as Damon’s mother?! I was under the impression that Stefan and Damon WERE brothers, but i guess you only care about Damon -.-
