‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’: Will NeNe Leakes leave after this season?

NeNe Leakes has gone through the drama on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” for a long time. She has seen fights, petty arguments, and occasionally physical altercations break out. She’s also one of the few women at this point who could opt for an escape plan. She is probably at this point the most famous Housewife of the entire franchise, with Teresa Giudice and Lisa Vanderpump also up there. She also has done a variety of TV and Broadway work.

Speaking this week on “The Meredith Vieira Show,” Leakes admits that she has at least considered stepping away from the franchise that she has called her home, largely because she doesn’t quite enjoy it as much as she used to. She also admits that there are times that she is embarrassed by what ends up happening on the show and making it to air.

We’ve always said that we are quite the NeNe fan; she’s instant entertainment more often than not! The only thing we roll our eyes at a little is how people come on the show now because they are “thirsty” for fame, as if there is any other reason that anyone would take part in this sort of madness. Everyone on this show wants a certain degree of fame; the people we do have the most respect for are people who use it as a platform to go on and do and create other things. NeNe is one example of that; Bethenny Frankel is another.

Ultimately, we’ll see what happens with NeNe at the end of this season. We can understand her staying to promote her brand, but it’s always a good idea to get out at the top of your game.
