‘Blue Bloods’ season 5, episode 15 review: Jamie and Eddie share a moment in hard times
“Blue Bloods” is a show that tackles difficult subjects on an almost weekly basis, and with that, you really cannot be that surprised by what they chose to touch on during some of Friday night’s episode. The psychology of a police officer is a difficult thing. More often than not, we see these characters on TV as these sort of people who have heavy armor around them constantly, and nothing ever seems to be in their way. If they are capable of being that way constantly, congratulations to them.
However, the reality is that the majority of the people are not like that. It is so difficult to do this job much of the time, and this was made clear with Eddie on tonight’s episode. A big part of her story revolved around her having to shoot a man when she was about to be shot herself. There is very little question as to whether or not she did the right thing, but that does not make it any easier for her to swallow.
The scene at the end with her and Jamie was almost perfect in that while there may have been some out there who wanted something more to come from it, this wasn’t the time or place. This was instead just a soft, touching moment between two people who sometimes need to lean on each other.
The other story primary stories tonight revolved around Frank taking on the Mayor’s office, and then Erin needing the help of Danny and Baez to bring in a very important person for her case. Both were fascinating in their own way, but Eddie’s struggle is something we’ll remember for some time. Grade: B+.

I was disappointed with the end. I was hoping that the Eddie story would arc into the next episode and that Jamie would take her to the Reagan’s house to talk with his Grandpa to help her. She would then eat Sunday dinner with the family and it would be obvious (but unspoken) to everyone but them what was really happening.
