‘Arrow’ season 3, episode 14 preview: Manu Bennett’s Slade, Tommy Merlyn return!
Next week’s new episode of “Arrow” is entitled “The Return,” and we feel like it is a great opportunity to learn a thing or two about what Slade Wilson has been up to in his tiny little prison on Lian Yu! Just the thought of seeing him again has us trembling with excitement. We know that he’s a capable villain and an incredibly smart one, so it’s pretty obvious that the likes of Oliver Queen and his sister have a major reason to be afraid right now.
Why those two people specifically? The synopsis below makes that clear, and it also gives you a greater bit of insight into the time that Oliver actually returned to Starling City under disguise before making his way back for good. The great news that comes out of this is simple: More Tommy Merlyn! Check it out:
“Malcolm (John Barrowman) puts Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Thea (Willa Holland) in a dangerous situation that lands them on Lian Yu with Oliver’s former enemy, Deathstroke (guest star Manu Bennett). A flashback reveals when Oliver and Maseo (guest star Karl Yune) returned to Starling City to retrieve the Omega bio weapon, and despite being under strict orders from Amanda Waller (guest star Cynthia Addai-Robinson) not to reveal himself to anyone, Oliver looks in on his family, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) and Tommy (guest star Colin Donnell).”
One thing that we’re very grateful about is Colin Donnell and Manu Bennett being open enough to come back, given that their characters are such a big part of this universe and of the Oliver narrative.
