‘Supernatural’ season 10, episode 13 video: Jensen Ackles’ Dean and old eating habits

We are pretty glad that some things never change when it comes to “Supernatural,” and that includes the downright terrible way in which Dean Winchester consumes food. We’re glad that the man has not had a heart attack; maybe one of his secret powers is an iron stomach.

The moment that Jensen Ackles’ character shows up in the sneak peek below with his enormous tray of food, we already find ourselves rolling on the floor laughing. This is basically one of two separate times during this clip where we have this reaction. The second is which Dean learns that nothing ever gets truly eliminated from the internet.

Technology will be a theme of this episode, which only seems appropriate given that this is “Halt and Catch Fire,” an episode named after both a computer command and also a stellar show on AMC. The Winchesters are forced to figure out what is causing some particularly dangerous ghosts to emerge from what appears to be the computer world. It seems like a standalone case compared to some recent procedural episodes, but we’re ultimately fine with this given that it seems like a lot of fun. Plus, some of our favorite episodes over the past few seasons have been the ones to get these characters in unusual, funny situations. (We’re partial to both “Larp and the Real Girl” and “The Purge” in recent memory.)

Now, if only we could see Dean host a version of “Man vs. Food” at some point in the future. After all, we don’t think the former host is really doing it anymore.
