‘NCIS’ season 12, episode 14 preview: ‘Cadence’ dives into past of Michael Weatherly’s Tony
Tony DiNozzo is certainly a man of many layers, and he is also a man who has many different stories to tell. Hopefully, we are going to get a chance to hear about some of these next week on “NCIS.” While we know a good bit about the man he is today, what about him while he was growing up? This is going to be one of the fun things we get a chance to see a little bit more of on the next new episode of the show.
One of the interesting things that you can expect to find out during “Cadence” revolves around learning a thing or two about his past in a military academy, and that is something that you can see a little bit more about as he ends up returning to the scene. We wish it was under slightly different circumstances, but in this world, you don’t always get what you want.
Is there something else important that happens within this episode? It definitely does sound like it, based on the synopsis below:
“DiNozzo returns to the military academy he attended as a teenager after a murdered Marine and alumni of the school is found clutching the photo of a current student. Also, Bishop and her husband invite Gibbs and the team out for a special dinner.”
That’s right: Jamie Bamber is returning! We really enjoyed seeing him the first time around, and we are interested to see if there is a purpose to this dinner.

Finally! We’re getting a Tony episode. I hope it’s a good one and that it’s not the last one we get this season. I’m really hoping that the season finale has lots of Tony instead of being the usual Gibbs versus another personal enemy who is out to get him finale arc. They’ve used that plot TO DEATH. Tony hasn’t had a dramatic arc that centered around him since season 4. It’s time.

I believe it will be a very good show. Hoping that in the near future Gibb and Hollis Mann get back together. He needs some happiness in his life.

Let’s wait and see. Tony has a complicated past.

They’re going to Rhode Island? Because, canonically, Tony attended Rhode Island Military Academy. I rather suspect this won’t be the case any more, since canon doesn’t really seem to matter much…
