‘Supernatural’ season 10, episode 12 video: Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and alien chatter

Even though we have seen over 200 episodes of “Supernatural” over the years, what is a surprise is just how rarely aliens have entered the conversation. They did a few years back (we believe season 6), but it turned out in that episode that all of the alien hype was just speculation and nothing else.

So could things be different in “About a Boy” Tuesday night? That is to be seen, but watching Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) listening to a guy going on and on about probing and abductions is somewhat hilarious. The best part of this clip is Dean saying “don’t say it” right before the guy starts spouting off his grand alien theory. Genuinely hilarious. There’s also something that just makes us smile about seeing the guys back doing some of their traditional investigative work.

As for what else we expect to see during this episode, most of the promotional material out there has given a big chunk of the story away already. We know that we are going to see at some point Dean turn into a 14-year old version of himself. If there is some good news here to report, maybe it is that this version of Dean is not going to be cursed with the Mark of Cain … or jaded with some of the other problems that Dean has run into. We don’t quite know how the rules work.

If nothing else, this looks like it is going to be a fun episode of the show. It reminds us a little of “Dog Dean Afternoon,” without the terrible voice acting on the dogs.
