‘Sherlock’ season 4 spoilers: Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, cast back filming
For all of you who are eager to watch along and hear the latest news in regards to “Sherlock” season 4, we come bearing some good news: Filming is back underway for the BBC series! We’re not going to post any set images or locations out of respect for the production (interference makes it hard for them to do their job), but Martin Freeman, Benedict Cumberbatch, and the rest of the cast and crew are continuign to work very hard in order to make the upcoming special (which could possibly air at Christmas) into a success.
This special had started up production early this year, but there was a break in there brought on mostly by Cumberbatch needing to take off to take part in a number of other activities during awards season. He is promoting “The Imitation Game,” and also potentially collecting awards for it, as well.
Ever since the two actors’ sudden rise to fame, they have certainly had to prepare for production perhaps in a different way than they would have probably leading up to this season. They are under more scrutiny when it comes to everything they say (Benedict can attest to that right now), and it is also far more difficult for them to go about their business on this show. We do feel in a way that this is why some actors eventually decide to leave TV series behind after a certain time, mostly because it becomes so much more difficult to do the job than it was years ago.
At some point, “Sherlock” will also film three other episodes for its fourth season. However, it is not entirely clear just yet as to whether or not they will be filmed this winter, spring, or sometime down the road.
