‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star Yolanda Foster losing ability to read, write due to Lyme disease
While it has been known that Yolanda Foster of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” has been battling Lyme disease for some time, it had been a while until we received a specific update on her condition until now. Unfortunately, we wish that we had some better news to report.
Yolanda published her first blog on the Bravo website in some time this week to make it clear that her struggles battling the disease have left her in a pretty delicate state, and one where she has been unable to read or write. We figure that she probably dictated this particular blog, just to at least make it clear to her fans what is going on with her:
“I would like to apologize for my lousy participation in the blogging department at the moment. Although writing is usually my favorite thing to do, I unfortunately have lost the ability to do so in an intelligent matter at this time. Most of you know I have been battling Lyme disease for the past three years. I wasted the first year trying to get diagnosed and spent the next two trying to find a cure. I have gone from the conventional long-term antibiotics to about every holistic protocol there is to offer. Unfortunatly, I was only able to get to about a 60% recovery until I relapsed in early December and have not been able to find my way back … I have lost the ability to read, write, or even watch TV, because I can’t process information or any stimulation for that matter.”
Yolanda claims that she is devoting most of her time and effort to coming up with treatment options or ways to cure the affliction, if not for her then for future people who are trying to tackle what she is going through right now.
You are obviously going to continue to see Yolanda on future episodes of the show, and we imagine that she will continue to appear as long as possible. After all, being a part of this show is a great way to further raise awareness for what she is going through.
We wish nothing but the best to Foster as she continues to fight the disease. (Photo: Bravo.)
