‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11 spoilers: What sort of key decisions are coming up?

There is a cyclical quality to “Grey’s Anatomy” at times, at least if you remember in here that while we have the likes of Meredith and Derek getting more involved in their careers, there are others who are still trying to just get to the place where they are no longer residents. Watching this evolution play out over time is ultimately one of the fun things about this season.

So what do we know about some of the residents moving forward? It appears as though they are going to start to pick some of their specialties finally! Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Jerrika Hinton suggested that Stephanie gets a good idea of what she wants to do, and then decides to act on it:

“A storyline opens up where Stephanie chooses a very specific avenue and she tells one of the Attendings that she has chosen them … They are to be her mentor. They are the person she wants to be when she grows up. I’m not sure if she’s choosing the specialty or if she’s choosing the person, but in a way, she’s chosen something.”

By the end of this season, we should have a better idea as to where all of these residents are going, and also if any of them will be forced into stepping up for some larger roles in the hospital. When you consider how long some of the characters have been around this show, you always do have to wonder if someone will move on, and if someone will step into their place.
