‘House of Lies’ season 4, episode 2 preview: Jenny Slate returns; Jeannie’s secret

House of Lies -Sunday night’s new episode of “House of Lies” has quite a bit to look forward to, with one of the biggest elements of it being that we are going to see more flashbacks to Marty Kaan’s time in prison! This is basically the show’s version of “Orange Is the New Black,” which the major difference being that this show is actually a comedy and not some sort of hybrid submitted in the category.

This episode will teach us a little bit about how Marty’s connections made behind bars, in particular with a notable tech genius named Hightower, could end up saving his business’ life on the outside. He’s the only one that will have these sort of connections, and that could make him all the more powerful … provided that he does not get himself in any further trouble.

Also, expect this episode to feature the return of Jenny Slate as Sarah Guggenheim, who is going to be very interested in taking Jeannie’s baby off her hands the moment that she gives birth. In between playing this character and Mona-Lisa on “Parks and Recreation,” is anyone better at playing this sort of obnoxious, scene-stealing characters?

In the end, the big “hype moment” of the promo below is Jeannie telling Mary that there is something else she needs to tell him, and of course, what Showtime wants you to think here is that maybe this somehow involves whether or not he is really the father of her child. Unfortunately, there’s no real way of knowing if this is really the case until the episode airs.
