‘Agent Carter’ episode 4 preview: What does Howard Stark’s return mean for Peggy?

What lies ahead on “Agent Carter“? Before we say anything else, let’s start with the bad news: There is no new episode airing next week. If you were wondering why, the simple answer that we have to that is simply that there is no real space for one. The State of the Union Address is going to be airing on almost every network … except for really The CW. Let’s hope you enjoy “Supernatural,” since that may be one of your only real programming choices.

When January 27 does roll around, one bit of good news you can expect from this show is that we are going to see Peggy really fight more than ever in the memory of Steve Rogers. Anytime that you can get Captain America’s name mentioned in there, we anticipate that to be very much a good thing.

As for the rest of the story, we imagine the return of Howard Stark being something that plays a tremendous role in the story, especially with all of the traitor questions that are floating around out there. Can everyone really trust each other in such a situation? Time will tell.

For now, the one thing that we can offer up to go along with this promo is the short synopsis, released recently by ABC:

“Peggy may be in more trouble than usual when fugitive Howard Stark suddenly returns for mysterious reasons. And Chief Dooley chases a new clue all the way to Europe that threatens to destroy Peggy’s future at the SSR.”
