‘Supernatural’ season 10 shifts to Wednesdays; ‘iZombie’ lands premiere after ‘The Flash’

The CW showed today that they can be of the kindly persuasion, given that they renewed a whole mess of some of their shows. Now, they’ve also shown quite a bit of love for their new series “iZombie.”

At their TCA panel today, the network confirmed that the Rose McIver series, which is being executive-produced by Rob Thomas of “Veronica Mars” fame, will be premiering come Tuesday, March 17 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. Meanwhile, “Supernatural” will shift over to Wednesday nights at 9:00 p.m. following “Arrow.” This is a position that it should be very familiar with, given that they have aired in this timeslot in the past. (“The 100” will end its second season just the week before that.)

While it seems like this would be a detriment in some way to Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles and company, we don’t really see it that way. Why? It is simply a matter of success. Their series has managed to be completely solid really regardless of anything else happening around it, and there is no reason to think that this is going to change with a different timeslot. In the end, this may be one of the most lead-in-independent series that there is out there on TV.

You are going to have a chance to see even further new episodes of “Supernatural” starting on Wednesday, January 21, which is when the show comes on The CW with all-new episodes. Stay tuned, as we’re going to have some further updates before we get to that point.
