‘Orphan Black’ season 3 spoilers: Expect another game-changing finale
We certainly know that “Orphan Black” works to surprise you in just about every way possible, and they definitely did that with some of those enormous shockers that we saw at the end of season 2.
So how are they going to top that? We don’t necessarily see the show trying to give into any particular temptation to make things bigger just for the sake of doing so, but with that being said, it still seems like there are going to be at least a few moments of the show doing this. Speaking to reporters at TCA today, co-showrunner John Fawcett confirmed that the upcoming third season has some “big things cooking for the season finale.” He even goes as far as to say that it is “the best” one that they have produced to date. Given that Ari Millen shocker that we’re still reeling from, to say that this is a rather big statement would be somehow still selling it short.
While this is exciting, this season was apparently still one with plenty of bumps in the road along the way. Fawcett states that this was the most “challenging” season that the series has produced to date, and we imagine that there are many reasons for this. You are working with more clones for one, and then to add to that, you have to keep the story of all of your current clones consistent. When you combine both of these two things, that can leave you in an occasionally-precarious position.
“Orphan Black” premieres later this spring on BBC America, and we’ll have further scoop along the way.
