‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5 spoilers: Tyler Blackburn teases big stories for male cast

Have you been frustrated with the men of “Pretty Little Liars” over the years? We understand, given that they are not always given the greatest amount on the show to do. Sometimes, they are stuck in the traditional boyfriend role, having to be supportive while also give dreamy eye-glances to the viewers.

However, things are changing a little bit this time around, mostly because the Liars have started to realize that there really is not that much of a benefit that comes with keeping these guys in the dark. Toby and Caleb have proven themselves! Shouldn’t they have a little fun? That seems to be what they will be up to, at least based on Tyler Blackburn’s latest comments in a TV Guide interview:

“[Tyler] does some cool Hardy Boys-type stuff … [Toby, Ezra] and I band together.”

Lucy Hale echoed this, telling the publication that the men this time get to do more than they ever have before. It makes sense, given that “A” has proven to be a rather formidable foe. With that in mind, isn’t it helpful to have as many different people fighting him or her as possible? Plus, we’ve already seen that they all bring something to the table that is useful, from computer skills to blue-collar work to intelligence.

One last tease we’ll share here is a predictable one: The season is going to end with a big shocker. Who saw that coming? The better question is when was the last time a season of this show ended with anything other than a shocker.

Tuesday will be the first episode of the winter season, and you better believe we’re going to have some more news on it as we get closer to the episode airing!
