‘Shameless’ season 5, ‘House of Lies’ season 4, more featured in Showtime promo

While the next two weeks are going to be slow ones when it comes to Showtime programming, don’t worry: Sunday, January 11 is going to be a serious date worth watching out for.

Why is that? Well, Showtime is going to be bringing out new episodes of “Shameless,” “House of Lies,” and “Episodes.” Basically, there are three shows here who are very capable of making you laugh. Some of them have more laughs-per-second than the other, but they all have their charms. In particular, “Shameless” has its fair share of dramatic elements as well.

Basically, you can think of this promo as a launching point for what is going to be a very big 2015 for the network. There are new seasons of a variety of different shows, including “Penny Dreadful,” “Ray Donovan,” “Masters of Sex,” “Homeland,” and “The Affair.” Also, there is the much-anticipated revival of “Twin Peaks.” While that may not happen in 2015, it is something that is on the other side of the horizon … eventually (It’s David Lynch folks, the guy works at his own pace and you get what you get when he’s ready). With Showtime’s schedule pretty jam-packed, they may not feel that big a rush to book other things.

Hopefully, we’ll have more news on all of these shows when we get a little closer to them airing. This looks to be an interesting winter, at least in that there is not one single show that looks to be dominating the spotlight in the way that “True Detective” did last year. Can one of these take up the reins?

Is there anything that you want to see specifically on these shows? Share some of your thoughts, hopes, and much more new with a comment!
