‘Homeland’ season 5 spoilers: Showtime releases reminder promo
Let’s start off this particular “Homeland” discussion with the following disclaimer: If you were hoping to see something interesting or substantial from the latest promo released by Showtime, you are probably going to be very disappointed.
Why is that? The latest video is ultimately neither. Instead, it is all old footage, coupled with a reminder that the show will return at some point in the fall of 2015.
While you may not take much away from watching this, we at the same time do not want you leaving here feeling completely empty-handed in regards to details. So with that, let’s start here with a reminder that with everyone surviving the events of the season 4 finale, expect to see the entire cast back in some form. Rupert Friend may be the most mysterious one of the group, given that Quinn is off to destinations unknown. Still, odds are that he will surface again at some point.
Meanwhile, the upcoming months will really be when the show decides what it wants to do moving forward. Showrunner Alex Gansa was very quiet following the finale, which is not something that we typically see people in his position do. Instead, Showtime head David Nevins did most of the post-finale press, and made it clear that the writers are really focused on just tackling things one season at a time.
Therefore, it could be March or April before we start to get any substantial details on what lies ahead for the show. Filming will most likely not begin until May.
