‘Homeland’ season 4, episode 12 (finale) spoilers: One last Claire Danes photo
Tonight, the season finale of “Homeland” in “Long Time Coming” finally airs on Showtime, and we have some big expectations for it. Commercially, we anticipate it being a big success for the network. It is following up a big twist with Dar Adal, there is less competition now with other shows off the air, and finales traditionally get a boost on their own.
As for what is actually going to happen here, that is still very much up in the air. Maybe it is appropriate that one of the few promotional photos released by Showtime shows Carrie (Claire Danes) in a relative state of disarray. At the moment, we feel pretty similar to her. There is not much known about this story other than that Carrie is back in America trying to investigate further where she saw Dar Adal, and why. Is he a traitor? Is he operating with a different agenda? Hopefully, at least some of these questions are going to be answered.
One good little tidbit about this episode is that Carrie is going to have some long-needed family time. Unfortunately, it may not be of the happiest variety, given that she will be mourning the loss of her father.
While there is a part of us that hopes that most of the story this season is resolved tonight, we are not entirely sure if this will happen. Given that we had such an open-and-shut ending to season 3, this is a chance to change things up with a cliffhanger.
