‘Strictly Come Dancing’ 2014 final: Caroline Flack, Pasha Kovalev declared winners
Clearly, Caroline Flack managed to have an even better 2014 than she did the year before. The television host, known by many as the former voice of “The Xtra Factor,” was declared today the winner of “Strictly Come Dancing” 2014 alongside her partner Pasha Kovalev.
This victory was one that many fans of the British dancing competition, the inspiration behind the entire “Dancing with the Stars” competition globally, saw coming. She is a sensational dancer, and given her resume, she also knew constantly how to present herself on television.
Interestingly enough, this almost proved to be a very smart decision for Flack commercially. Even the “X Factor” proper was overshadowed mightily by “Strictly” this season, which has become one of the most-popular programs on British television year round. It is light, fun family entertainment, and that helps sometimes to overshadow how some of the personalities on the show are not always the biggest.
So where can Caroline go from here? Given that she is a TV presenter first and foremost, we would be all but positive that she will go on to find another gig elsewhere. We don’t see her returning to the Simon Cowell inner circle anytime soon, but there are a variety of other programs out there suitable for her. The only challenge in Britain is that there are a limited number of channels, and this therefore means that sometimes there are only so many different options available for someone.
Unlike “Dancing with the Stars,” this show is now beginning a lengthy hiatus, and will not be back on the air until the fall. Len Goodman will be back for another season, even though he plans on leaving the American show this spring.
