‘The Amazing Race’ episode 8 preview: Adventures in Malta and more

Do you know what is funny about “The Amazing Race” now? Basically, it is that the show has spent so much time traveling the world that it is actually a major headline when they go somewhere new.

For the next installment, the teams are going to be heading to Malta, where there are a variety of different, interesting tasks that the teams will be forced to confront. Many of them are going to be physical, and one in particular could in theory push Bethany Hamilton to the test. Based on the new preview video below, though, it doesn’t seem as though there is anything for Adam & Bethany to worry about.

The team that you really should be worried about right now, at least based on the material that we have seen at the moment, is Tim & Te Jay. The couple came in last place on this past leg, and they are going to have to do a Speed Bump. Sometimes, these are easy (take a look back at the terrible ice cream challenge or the one where teams had to sit in a sauna bus), but there are occasional Speed Bumps that are pretty difficult. For example, the one that Jim & Misti took on a little bit earlier in the season was actually pretty difficult!

In the end, the team that we would be just as worried about, in addition to the one we just mentioned, are the Sweet Scientists Amy & Maya. They’ve never received the sort of air time we feel like they deserve, and that suggests trouble.
