‘The Following’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Almost Human’ alum cast for deadly new role

While we may still be at least a month and a half away from the premiere of “The Following” season 3, that isn’t stopping us from getting some of the latest updates when it comes to casting.

Love “Almost Human”? While it would be better to see some more of that show on Fox (given that the low ratings on the network right now really justified it getting renewed rather than canceled), we can tell you that Michael Ealy has been cast for an important and dangerous role on the Kevin Bacon drama, which ironically was at point on the air around the same time as “The Following.” Specifically, Ealy’s character is a brilliant murderer, whose great skill comes in keeping himself a secret for as long as he possibly can. He is adept at blending into almost any situation.

One of the problems that comes with this sort of casting is how this character will be presented on the show. For example, what happens in the event that the show tries to sell him as a normal guy at first? We’ll remember this casting, and we will never take the role on the show as serious ultimately as we would like to.

With that being said, we love Ealy, and we’re happy to be seeing him get some more work right now on Fox. Unless they were to pull off some miracle, it is not like you can go back in a time machine and bring the show back to life again.

“The Following” should premiere in January, and hopefully we will have more soon.
