‘Reign’ season 2, episode 8 preview: Adelaide Kane’s Mary faces trouble in midst of religious warfare
Are things ever going to be easier for Mary and Francis on “Reign” season 2? Tonight’s arrival of Claude may see like nothing compared to what we are going to see on the CW series when it airs its next new episode in a week.
Here is what we know for sure is coming up. The next episode carries with it the title of “Terror of the Faithful,” and that in itself definitely sounds chilling. You may feel that way even more so after you see the official synopsis below, which comes to you courtesy of the network:
“Tensions escalate between Mary (Adelaide Kane) and Francis (Toby Regbo) when Vatican inquisitors perform barbaric acts on anyone suspected of being a Protestant. After a brave proclamation, Lord Condé (Sean Teale) is abducted, resulting in a precarious situation with a surprising group of assailants. Catherine (Megan Follows) experiences an annoying setback when she plays matchmaker on behalf of a reluctant Claude (Rose Williams), while Narcisse (Craig Parker) offers a stranded Lola (Anna Popplewell) an innocent horse ride back to the castle, where a dark secret involving Francis is revealed.”
This story certainly seems to be a pretty interesting one, and the only thing that is as frightening as seeing the religious war that is going on the show could be whatever Narcisse has up his sleeve right now. We already know that this is a guy out for revenge his own way, and part of that seems to be destroying Francis in any way that he can.
Expect this to be a big episode; after it, we’re going to have a temporary hiatus for a week.
