MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 4 finale spoilers: Spring break begins for Ashley Rickards’ Jenna

“Awkward” has been on quite a crazy journey so far during season 4, but next week, all of it will be coming to an end with “Spring Break (Part 1).”

The obvious takeaway from this episode title is that we’re probably going to get a pretty enormous cliffhanger, one where you will most likely not going to see any closure on anything until the spring of next year. Remember here that “Awkward” has already been renewed for a fifth season, which is also going to be the end of the road for the show.

Tonight, what we learned is that there were some very difficult bumps in the road for Jenna. Ashley Rickards’ character accidentally revealed what happened between her and Gabby to Matty, and this created all sorts of drama for the three … and of course the entire school found out. Isn’t this what always happens at Palos Hills? It certainly seems like it.

One of the biggest things to look forward to when it comes to this episode is ultimately very simple: A chance to really see what happens when Matty meets his real father. We learned at the end of the episode that he had made contact with the mystery man, and that he was planning to meet him at some point during Spring Break. Well, this is his opportunity.

Right now, everyone on the show is looking forward to the future, and we really just have to figure out how this story is going to come together.
