NBC’s ‘The Voice’ spoilers: What Chris Jamison, Taylor Phelan, Jessie Pitts, Reagan James will sing tonight

The Voice -Tonight, the first round of the Live Playoffs will be underway on “The Voice,” and we are going to get a chance to see every contestant from Team Adam Levine and Team Blake Shelton hit the obnoxiously-shiny stage to perform their best.

By the time the dust settles, we should be left with a top 12 of artists going into the rest of the live shows, which will run until the grand finale next month. Who will advance? That’s what our official rankings are for! We’ve been doing those the past few days in the event that you missed them.

This article is instead all about the song spoilers, which are coming to us right now courtesy of iTunes and Mjsbigblog, who was kind enough to compile them. We’re going to add our first impressions here, as well.

Team Adam

Chris Jamison – “Don’t” by Ed Sheeran. A solid, emotional choice. Also, bonus points for being something different.

Matt McAndrew – “God Only Knows” by the Beach Boys. This could be fun, but he needs to work at keeping it from being karaoke.

Mia Pfirrman – “Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Rey. Another smart, interesting choice. It’s nice to see all of this team taking chances.

Taylor Phelan – “Cool Kids” by Echosmith. Honestly, we’ve never heard of this song, and we’re fine with that.

Damien – “I’m Not the Only One” by Sam Smith. A season ago, Josh Kaufman had a big moment with a Sam Smith cover. Could be a smart move.

Team Blake Shelton

Craig Wayne Boyd – “Some Kind of Wonderful” by Grand Funk Railroad. Good luck with this. It is familiar, but it’s also generic.

James David Carter – “Two of a Kind (Workin on a Full House)” by Garth Brooks. Anytime you can do a Garth song as a country artist, it’s probably a good move.

Reagan James – “Try” by Colbie Caillat. We wonder who suggested this one. It could work.

Jessie Pitts – “Holding Out for a Hero” by Bonnie Tyler. This could be great. It could also be cheesy. It all depends on the arrangement.

Taylor Brashears – “Long Time Gone” by the Dixie Chicks. Is it risky doing a Dixie Chicks song these days? It’s a great pick for Taylor, so we hope not.
