‘Downton Abbey’ season 5 Christmas Special spoilers: Is Allen Leech leaving, Joanne Froggatt questions
Tonight marked the big finale of “Downton Abbey,” but it hardly the end of the road for the show. We are going to be seeing yet another Christmas Special, and it is one that definitely raises a whole lot of interesting questions.
For us, the status of a certain Allen Leech (Tom Branson) has to be front and center when it comes to most-important questions that someone could have at the moment, at least based on the events that we saw in tonight’s episode.
Some other story threads we anticipate getting picked up at some point include the status of Anna (Joanne Froggatt), given that we saw her carted away to prison at the end of the episode for the murder of Mr. Green. She seems innocent, but there hasn’t been a whole lot of other information about this case in some time. What is most remarkable at the moment is that we are still talking about a story that originated during the third episode of season 4, and really has not gone anywhere since.
Unfortunately, ITV is not going to be releasing a whole lot of information about this installment for a little while. This is their tradition, in part because they really don’t have to. After all, this episode is still a good month and a half away, and there is nothing bad that makes them suddenly feel like they have to lift the veil on everything right away.

I’d like to see at least a bit of love in Thomas’ life. There is so much to redeem in him. I think a real relationship may be just what he needs. :-)
