‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6 spoilers: What Ian Somerhalder – Nina Dobrev scenes will look like now

For all of those looking forward to seeing Damon back in the same world as many of his other “Vampire Diaries” cohorts, the good news we have for you today is that this is happening come Thursday night. Ian Somerhalder’s character is back in action, and as you would assume, he probably has a few things that he wants to say to Elena.

But will his once-upon-a-time-girlfriend, played by Nina Dobrev, be welcome to receive him? Her compelling away her deep emotions towards him makes that tricky, and this is something executive producer Julie Plec previews in an E! News interview:

“Now that Damon’s finally back, he won’t waste another second being without Elena.  But with her memories compelled away, she’s not nearly as enthused by the prospect of seeing him.  Stefan was feeling lost, but the look on his face when Damon returned in last week’s episode says it all.  The bond between these brothers is stronger than ever.”

The one thing that you really need to expect here with this story is that it is going to take time to have everything fully resolved. These are characters who are always going to be in each other’s life, mostly because the show would not be that exciting without that. The question that remains is just how much time it is going to take for this to happen.

There are still a few more “Vampire Diaries” episodes left this fall, so be prepared for plenty of drama ahead.
