‘Homeland’ season 4, episode 6 preview: Carrie lashes out at Fara; why?
Sunday night, you are going to get to see some further evidence on “Homeland” of one simple thing: Some of what happens when Carrie starts to get a little more emotionally invested into someone. We saw this with Nicholas Brody, and like a broken record, we’re now seeing it with Aayan.
This time around, what seems to set her off more than anything else is Fara referring to their principal asset at the moment as “the boy,” and seemingly showing disapproval of her having an intimate relationship with him. Basically, Claire Danes’ character in the sneak peek below takes this as an opportunity to turn the tables around, and basically tell Fara that had she done her job properly, this situation would have never happened in the first place. If we were Fara, probably not what we would want to hear in this given moment.
The truth here is that we don’t really see things quieting down for a little while when it comes to the tension here. Carrie operates by the beat of her own drum, and for the most part, this is something that has to be considered a benefit. However, at the same time what happens when you start to let that beat go a little haywire? This is what happened with Brody, and is happening again right now. Maybe she gets the job done, but at the same time has to be prepared for whatever consequences come up as a result.
Of course, we are going to have some further updates on this subject soon, so keep a lookout out for those!
