‘Sons of Anarchy’ series finale: Filming wraps for Charlie Hunnam, cast
For the cast and crew of “Sons of Anarchy,” they have been hard at work for over seven years now to make this show the best it can be. Now, it is all ending.
Last night, show creator Kurt Sutter made it clear in a new post on his Instagram account that the series finale had been completed from a filming point of view, and we don’t blame you if you get a little bit choked-up at the last image. Many of the cast members saw their last days scaled a little bit; we’re not going to post any further specifics here, though, mostly because we don’t quite want to give away who makes it to the finale and who may not. Obviously, we’d assume that Charlie Hunnam was there, given that this show is ultimately Jax’s story.
The finale episode itself will air in December, and our feeling is that this is going to be the most-watched and highest-rated broadcast (two separate things) in the history of FX. Considering that the audience has grown every single season, this feels almost like a formality.
Luckily, there are still many more episodes still to air, including ones that could spell trouble for characters such as Juice (Theo Rossi) and Bobby (Mark Boone Junior). Based on some of the information that we know about their stories already, things are not particularly looking good for either one of them.
