‘Homeland’ season 4, episode 6 preview: Carrie’s plan is put into motion
Do the best-laid plans end up working out all right? That is something that is very much at the center of “Homeland” next week, where Carrie tries to orchestrate all that is going on with Aayan and Saul in a way that suits her properly.
However, what we really want more than a specific event in the next episode is something that gets the series a little back on track. We were at first intrigued by the premise of the fourth season, which involved Claire Danes’ character moving away from her past in an effort to start to figure out how she would handle life as a station chief overseas.
Honestly, this whole dynamic between her and Aayan is just a little strange, mostly because this is such a similar M.O. to Brody, except with a character who plays very young on the show.
Anyway, let’s hope that this upcoming episode does trigger a little more excitement, and give people like Saul and Quinn a little of something more exciting to do. We feel like the end of Sandy is an opportunity for things to be shaken up fully in the coming weeks, and we only hope that “Homeland” really takes advantage of that and gets the bull by the horns.
We’ve learned over time to not be altogether turned off by the first few episodes of any season. After all, “Dexter” struggled out the gate many times at first, only to late turn things around.
