Is ‘Hell on Wheels’ season 4, episode 11 new tonight, finally, on AMC?
We’re back with yet another Saturday article that is meant to answer one simple question, and it’s something that has driven many a “Hell on Wheels” fan crazy over the past few weeks: Is there going to finally be a new episode airing on AMC tonight?
Unfortunately, we still don’t have good news for you if you haven’t seen a TV guide or any of our previous articles: There’s still not a new one, and there won’t be until Saturday, November 9. Two more weeks! Instead of running a new episode, AMC instead seems to be going for a Halloween theme this weekend, airing the movie “Seed of Chucky.” After watching that movie years ago, we feel pretty confident in saying that airing this is a serious step down from Cullen Bohannon and company.
While we’ve said this before, it’s worth repeating that having this hiatus is in some ways a good and bad thing. The plus is that you have the final episodes airing in November, a very important time for the network when it comes to ratings. This is a show of confidence from AMC. However, you also run the risk of confusing people, and not getting most of your original audience back. Therefore, tell your friends and remind them to watch!
What we can at least assume about the final few episodes is that Ruth’s quick decision to shoot Sydney Snow is going to be a focal point int he story, as John Campbell and Bohannon will be forced to figure out what to do with her as a result. While Syd was a terrible person and a murderer, we’re not seeing the show stay firmly in the age where “an eye for an eye” is a good way to conduct yourself any longer. There could be consequences, and they could be harsh.
One way to entertain yourself during the hiatus is by heading over here, and watching the latest behind-the-scenes video starring Colm Meaney. Also, to stay in touch with us at CarterMatt via email, sign up for our official newsletter. (Photo via AMC.)
