‘Orphan Black’ season 3: Tatiana Maslany heads to the stage with ‘Newsroom’ star
Tatiana Maslany has already proven that she can tackle countless characters in the single span of one TV show, so who can imagine what sort of impressive feats she could be capable of on the stage? Well, we’re about to find out.
It has been announced that the “Orphan Black” star is set to hit the stage in New York for The Way We Get By, an off-Broadway production of the Neil LaBute play. She will be working alongside Thomas Sadoski, who many may know for the role of Don Keefer on the HBO show “The Newsroom” (and who is extremely underrated in the part).
The play will begin previews in early May, and continue running in limited engagement for much of the next month and a half. This is not going to be the sort of thing that collides with anything pertaining to “Orphan Black”; filming for season 3 will be over long before this, and she will be back at work in plenty of time in the hopeful event that the show is renewed for a fourth season.
If nothing else, hopefully this comes as an opportunity for her to raise her profile a little bit. It’s not always to get publicity on smaller network, and the fact that she has been routinely shafted by the Emmys also does not help.
