‘Hart of Dixie’ season 4: Wilson Bethel also writing new CW drama project

Wade -Who knew that Wilson Bethel would be so busy, so quickly within the days that followed “Hart of Dixie” production?

Yesterday, we reported about the actor behind Wade getting the chance to co-star in ABC’s new series “The Astronaut’s Wives Club,” but to go along with that, we’re also finding out now that he is going to continue his career as a writer, as well. According to a report coming in from Deadline, Bethel has signed a blind script deal with Warner Bros. TV (the same studio behind “Hart of Dixie”) to do a drama project for The CW. It’s a little early to assume that this project will be made, since it may not even make it to the pilot stage of production. However, this is a nice way to attempt to continue forward a relationship, and we’ll just have to see where things go from here on out. Developing a show can often be a long process that takes a year or even longer.

Regardless, Wilson seems set to have a career in TV for a while, and while the writing on the wall that “Hart of Dixie” is ending after four seasons (though no confirmed yet), we imagine that we’ll start hearing news about some of the actors soon, as well. Rachel Bilson will probably take at least a little time off to be a new mom, but we could see actors like Scott Porter or Jaime King landing new roles really soon, depending on how quickly they are getting out there. If this is the end for the show, the good news is that they could be able to get out there in enough time for pilot season.

We’ll have a little more news on this subject very soon, so be on the lookout! Also, be sure to sign up for our CarterMatt Newsletter if you want more TV scoop sent to you every week. (Photo via The CW.)
