NBC’s ‘Parenthood’ season 6 spoilers: Jason Ritter to return before series finale
For all those who love “Parenthood” and all those who love Jason Ritter (we’re pretty sure that there is a massive intersection between the two), we come bearing very good news today: You are going to be seeing more of him before the story officially comes to a close.
Sources confirm that Mark will return at least a few weeks before the series finale, but there is not too much else known about how he will impact the story. Obviously, he has a huge history with Lauren Graham’s character of Sarah, and we suppose that in theory, it is possible that the two parties end up getting back together. The only significant hurdle? Think of it along the lines of the fact that she is now dating Hank (Ray Romano), and they appear to be on the track to being endgame with each other.
We do feel like regardless of what happens with Sarah, it did make sense for Ritter to turn up at least one more time. His character is so important to her journey, and we are always a big fan of closure and looking back at the past in the final season … at least so long as there is a purpose beyond just putting some popular people from past seasons on for ratings or attention. We luckily feel like showrunner Jason Katims wouldn’t do that just for the heck of it.
What do you think about Ritter coming back on “Parenthood” right now before the end: Do you think it’s right, and do you think that there is any hope at all for Mark and Sarah?
