‘White Collar’ season 6 spoilers: What will Matt Bomer’s Neal use to obtain freedom?
So far, “White Collar” has been in many ways a story of survival for Matt Bomer’s character of Neal Caffrey. Despite his past resume, he has worked his way into a decent position with the FBI, even almost to the point where some were willing for him to be free.
Unfortunately for him, the key word in here is “some.” Neal is still very much under their thumb when season 6 begins, but could he still find a way somehow to get out of this? It certainly seems possible. Per a new report from TV Guide, he is going to try and find an advantage to being kidnapped when he learns that the ones responsible are a part of a super-powerful criminal operation that has long been high on the FBI’s most-wanted list. Will he give up the information that they are out there to the powers that be? He could, but he could use the information to leverage his freedom.
What we know about the FBI on this show is that while they are sometimes-incompetent without Neal’s help, they do sometimes listen to reason. If the best way Neal can help them is to be completely free, that is something they will consider. After all, remember here that the only reason he keeps being roped back in to everything is because they want to ensure that he cannot go anywhere to the point where they no longer have his services. That is the most troublesome situation for them.
