‘How to Get Away with Murder’ episode 3 preview: Michaela in hot water

What makes the story on “How to Get Away with Murder” so complicated? It may be tied to the simple fact that almost everyone on the show seems to be holding some sort of complicated secret, and it really does not matter whether or not they are an attorney, a student, or in this case, the fiance of a student who also works in the Mayor’s office.

In the sneak peek below, Michaela is desperate to introduce everyone to her prestigious fiance, who happens to have a little bit of a history with one of the show’s characters … and it may not be who you would expect. She is clued in slightly about the history at the end of the preview, but what do you think she is going to do with that information?

We are excited to see what happens on tomorrow night’s episode for a variety of reasons, but one of the biggest ones is seeing merely if this show can actually keep up some of the insane momentum it has established so far. By episode 3, most people have decided whether or not they want to really give a show a chance, so we’ll see if there is a big drop from last week or now. (We’re expecting some.) Also, we have to see if this show really does have the makings of something great, or if it is in the “still figuring itself out” phase.

Here’s the funny thing: Even if there are some stumbling blocks coming up for the series, they are not an indictment at all on where the show is heading. Back during season 1, “Scandal” was not even remotely a big hit on ABC. There are some out there who may not even know that Henry Ian Cusick was a part of the series.
