‘Faking It’ season 2, episode 3 preview: Shane tries to distract Liam

How do you keep a teenage guy from obsessing over a girl who has already hurt him? One way, seemingly, is that you find him some other girls who may make him just as interested.

For Shane, this is apparently the strategy on the next new episode of “Faking It” airing Tuesday night on MTV. A sister school of Hester High in Brazil is going to bring many a surprise visitor to the school, and with this, comes many potential female suitors for Liam … even in spite of the language barrier. The sneak peek video below features Shane trying to do his best to introduce him to some of these ladies, and in turn giving him a worthy distraction from Karma, who has already hurt him with all of his lies.

So why will this not work very well? We attribute it somewhat to the fact that Liam is keeping something enormous from Karma in what he and Amy did after the wedding. This guilt is inevitably going to loom large over his head until he finally comes clean with the truth … but unfortunately, the problem with that is simply that it is very hard to know when he is going to be interested in actually doing that. He doesn’t want to destroy Amy and Karma’s friendship, and that is the only reason he has kept quiet about it. We do think that Amy will ultimately be the one who admits it first, but that’s not going to leave him in an easier position, at all.
