‘Arrow’ season 3 premiere spoilers: An Oliver – Felicity preview you’ve been waiting for

For a while now, much has been said about the season 3 premiere of “Arrow,” including that this could finally be the season that Oliver and Felicity make some moves romantically.

In the sneak peek below (first posted by The Hollywood Reporter), what you really see in here is Stephen Amell’s character multitasking at his finest. First of all, he is in the middle of an extremely high-speed pursuit of yet another bad guy who is terrorizing Starling City. At the same time, he’s also asking his fellow Team Arrow member (played by Emily Bett Rickards) to dinner. Apparently, she loves Italian food.

So why in the world is she working at Starling’s version of the Buy More from “Chuck”? The biggest reason is simply that at the moment, Oliver is not the mega-millionaire that he was last year. He doesn’t exactly have control of Queen Consolidated, and thanks to that, she is struggling to make ends meet financially. Who knows what sort of odd jobs we’ll see some of the other characters doing? It seems like Felicity will probably not have this job long, but it should be fun while it lasts.

So what do we think is going to happen for these two? As we predicted in our pre-season podcast yesterday, we feel like there are great things to come for these two, but we may need to sit through a period first where Oliver really acknowledges what his feelings are. Felicity deserves a chance to be sought-after, and maybe this season will provide that, especially when there is another suitor in Ray Palmer who is a little clearer about his romantic intentions.
