‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 2 spoilers: Orlando Jones on what’s next for Irving

For all those who love Orlando Jones, great news! He will be back tonight on “Sleepy Hollow.” As for the bad news, we’re not exactly going to find Irving in the best position.

While many of the show’s other characters have managed to get themselves out of some particularly hairy situations, this will not be quite true for the former Captain just yet. He will be in prison, and apparently going through quite a miserable time. (Who saw that one coming?) Jones, speaking to TVLine, had the following to say while teasing his story:

“One of those weird circumstances you encounter when you’re accused of killing someone is the police are just not particularly helpful, even more so when you’re a cop accused of killing two other cops … He’s powerless.”

Eventually, do we expect to see him out of jail? Sure, mostly because there is only so much that the man can do for the cause behind bars. The problem is that even if he is one day released and exonerated for all of his alleged crimes, it still may not be enough for him to get his job back. It’ll be hard to convince the powers-that-be that even though he was not guilty, they want to trust someone who’s spent some hard time behind bars with the letter of the law.

Hopefully, we’ll find a way for him to at least work alongside Ichabod or Abbie in the near future. While he was understandably doubtful when the secrets about Moloch and everything else first surfaced, he’s since obviously come around. The only thing that makes him a little different is that he has so much more to protect, including his daughter.
