‘Criminal Minds’ season 10 spoilers: ‘Teen Wolf’ alum heads over
To be honest, we’re almost surprised that there is not more crossovers between “Criminal Minds” and “Teen Wolf” … at least when it comes to the cast. (We’re probably not going to see the BAU heading to Beacon Hills anytime soon, even though they would have a field day there.) “Teen Wolf” guru Jeff Davis happens to also be the creator of the long-running CBS procedural, and that connection you would think would benefit many an actor.
If nothing else, we can at least confirm for the moment that it is benefiting Ian Nelson. The actor played the younger version of Derek on “Teen Wolf” this past season, and now sources confirm that he will appear in at least one “Criminal Minds” episode in a story that features something that is almost ubiquitous in the world of schools around the country: Selfies. Now, if only the BAU could figure out a way to make these disappear for everyone. (We personally believe that the world could be a whole lot better of a place.)
It’ll be interesting to see how the series, which is now run by Erica Messer, will handle something like this, just as we are curious anytime that “Criminal Minds” takes on a modern subject of conversation. It’s not something that happens on an extremely regular basis, so we look forward to any time that it does. Plus, we also enjoy it when there are some surprising twists and turns.
